Google Chrome
September 2nd, 2008Big news! Google will release it’s very own, created from scratch, webbrowser very soon!
It’s called Chrome, and I think it’s very promissing: multi-threaded, multi processes per tab, each tab in a sandbox … More details can be found in the comic.
Unfortunatly, it will be launched Windows only. Mac and Linux will be released a bit later.
Something to watch closely!

People saying that it will be the fastest web browser in the world. But I am thinking that if it is possible or not.

@uuali: Google Chrome is using the famous WebKit HTML parser, which is also used in the AIR-framework, the iPhone Safari version, and if I’m not mistaken, also the regular Safari browser.
WebKit IS fast! I see less difference between Safari 3.1 and FireFox 3.
@Willie Fleming: I’ll give Chrome a try on one of my VM’s so I can give it a shot :)
Maybe later this day, I’ll post my first remarks on Google Chrome
